The Seastar and Mermaid projects concerns the most northern offshore concession in the designated offshore energy zone in the Belgian EEZ. They are located on the Belgian Continental Shelf, in the Belgian Part of the North Sea (BPNS). The Mermaid site has an area of 16.3 km² and is located approximately 50 km off the Belgian coast.  The water depths at the site range between 27.2 m and 39.1 m below lowest astronomical tide (LAT). The capacity of the Mermaid OWF is consented to minimum 232 MW and maximum 266 MW.

For the SeaMade INC protection activities, ASSO scrutinized all the available data and information as received by the DEME Offshore NL B.V and came up with the most appropriate technical approach suiting the demanding works of the said project.

DEME Offshore NL B.V  has awarded ASSO the protection activities of four (4) strings at Mermaid OWF. More specifically, SoW consisted of burial operations by means of jetting and subsequent as buried activities by means of TSS440 cable tracking system and MBES system.
