The Lapseki - Sutluce (Canakkale) Project consists of the interconnection between Lapseki (Asia Side) and Sutluce (Europe Side) in Dardanelles Strait in Turkey. The cables system that was installed is composed by:
- Seven submarine HVAC cables (a double circuit with three power cable each)
- Two optical cables bundled together with two AC cables, one per circuit
Turkish Electricity Transmission Co., TEIAS, awarded Prysmian a contract for the supply, installation and protection of the above mentioned submarine cables in Dardanelles Strait.
ASDG was appointed by Prysmian to execute Post-Lay Burial operations by means of jetting for the above mentioned submarine cables. ASDG scope of work was also including the installation of mattresses at crossings locations as well as at route sections with hard seabed conditions.
Canakkale Project was completed in the first quarter of 2015.
